Nice someone wrote a book on sexuality for therapists. As a therapist I deal with the subject a lot and didn't find much new, but would be a good read for new therapists. State boards can invoke a fear of delving into sexuality yet its often a core issue for many clients.

This book is a no BS study of the role of sex in a relationship. It's pretty comprehensive, and very professional. It recognizes the variety in different couples' needs, and presents a general model for how sex is an important element to a couple's well being.

The authors have penned other texts over the years and this is a good one. Helpful exercises for couples and individuals. cl

If you're a musician, athlete, or creative, you may one day hit the jackpot. Then what? You will need an understanding of how money works and how to protect your money for your future and your family.For those of us in the 99%, it can be unfathomable how someone worth 10 million dollars could feel like he doesn't have enough. After reading this book you will understand how. You will understand how people who should theoretically be rich might squander or lose it.If you are starting a business venture or project and wish to pitch a wealthy person to invest in you, this book gives invaluable insight into their point of view and why they may or may not choose to work with you.After reading this book, I recommend reading the Rolling Stone article, "The Trouble with Johnny Depp," which illustrates many of the principles of Frazer's book in vivid reality.

Very much enjoyed how the author breaks down a logical thought process for both clients and professionals. While I'm not in wealth management, I'm work directly with clients in financial services (residential mortgage) and learned a lot from reading about his thought process on how best to serve clients. Much of what he advises I'd like to think I already put into practice, but really appreciated how he specifically detailed his thought process. Took some good notes from this book. Very well written.

Wealth, Actually is a book that undersells its value. It's targeted toward the ultra-rich, but is generally insightful for many who want to have a better conversation with a financial advisor. The advisor/client conversation can be difficult to manage and Frazer nicely sets out some of the key issues on which there needs to be shared understanding and close coordination. This is a quick, worthwhile read.

An excellent read. The book covers all the vital financial issues and concerns. It is helpful for anyone who ever thought about their wealth and its continuum.

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for a relative whom I knew would find it interesting! He has read a couple chapters and is giving them a thumbs up. So far, so good!

I ordered this for vacation planning this year and it's been very helpful. Broken into sensible sections and is very comprehensive. Glad I found this resource. Also like the size. I had been a regular buyer of the Lonely Planet travel books. But more and more often, i am finding these Moon series travel books to have a very helpful balance of detail and organization. For each of our past three destination vacation trips we ended up buying and using Moon series books for each of the national parks, and they were very helpful.

This book contains very helpful information. We are making our trip in a couple of days, so I cannot verify all the content as yet, but the book reads very well, and has helped us prioritize how to make the best use of our time. The color photos and numerous maps have allowed me to orient myself ahead of time, and the book is divided nicely into very helpful categories. I would highly recommend this book if you have never been to the Smokey Mountains and are planning a trip.

This is a translation of important sources on the Fenians from the 12th Century. It adopts a format of dialog and story telling between the survivors of the Fenians and St. Patrick.I found the translation a bit plodding but translating Middle Irish into Modern English is a very difficult task and therefore I have chosen not to deduct stars for that. I do not believe that it is possible to retain a lexically correct translation which also preserves the mood of the original due in part to syntactic differences between the languages.At the same time, this is a great collection of stories which can be mined deeply for insights into Celtic social order, ideology, culture, etc. It's an incredibly important work and the translation is adequate for most purposes.I'd highly recommend it.

This is a translation of 12th century Irish manuscripts, Acallam na Senorach. I purchased it while looking for Acallam Bec, a variant of the same story (although I am beginning to doubt it exists in English).I recommend Tales of the Elders for scholars or serious celtophiles. I found the footnotes and references very helpful. It is a translation, not a dramatization, so if you are looking for entertainment this is probably not what you want.

Required very good attention to all the reading, but it carries with it some of the things, like the little people, that we associate with Ireland. It is a good I will re-read and many times. It speaks to what the Irish are.

I completely enjoyed reading this book. However I was very glad I had read Lady Gregorie's book first - it explained who the heros were.

I rated this a four star. I did not like the long introduction. It is very long and rambling. This is an ideal read for anybody interested in old Irish tales and sages.

One feature I love about the Kindle version of Portals of Prayer is the ability to change font sizes. I can also just click on a bible verse and the Kindle will go to Bible.com or Biblegateway.com, I do not remember which, so that I can read the readings for the day.Also being a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod publication makes it all the better.

Good devotions, but it looks like they were done by a secretary using optical character recognition and never went through a proof reader. Words strung together. Pentecost had lines scrambled to the point that it was unreadable.l

Short daily readings with Bible passages that correspond. From 10 to 20 minutes to complete all readings.

I have used Portals of Prayers for my IPad for quite a while. I usually like the ease with which it switches back and forth to the Bible reading. Last month I could no longer accomplish that and was very disappointed. I had to close Portals and switch to my Bible and then go back to Portals of Prayer. Also, the proofreading has lacked in this issue. To many run together words.

Since about halfway through this book, I've been thinking about what kind of review I'd write after finishing it...without sounding like a jerk. Let me first say that I have a great amount of respect for Mr. Mustaine and everything he's accomplished. But at the same time, I grew tired of him "patting himself on the back" at every opportunity. I really felt like throughout the entire book, he wanted the reader to feel sorry for him, for a multitude of reasons. I've seen him in concert a couple of times, years ago, and I DID feel sorry for him then. He couldn't remember the words to his own songs, threatening the front row crowd with violence. It was bad. I'm truly glad that he claims he's found God, he needs that. I believe that the sad truth is, he never REALLY got over being kicked out of Metallica, and maybe he never will. I can't help but think that this book might have been better if it had been written by someone else. Then again, it may have been worse.

This is a great book. I've read a lot of biographies by 80's metal bands and the fact is they're boring because almost all of them are unauthorized so there is no true insight into the subject of the book, i.e. So Let It Be Written about James Hetfield. I was so disappointed by that book, it's like the author watched a bunch of youtube videos and pieced it together from that. Dave actually wrote his book with some help of course but it gives the real story and the real feelings about what was going on in the early Metallica days and then the creation of Megadeth. I found myself looking forward to the spare time I had so I could get back to Dave's story. Metallica sold out as far as I'm concerned, I'm still a fan of their older material but they should have quit after the black album, everything since sounds forced. Dave never sold out, he's still making the same thrash he always has and it's brilliant, much like his biography. It's a great story, a must read for 80's metal fans.

If you are a fan of Megadeth this is an eye opening "tell all" book that you should read. It basically affirms the sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll life style of mega rock stars, and in the process gives us a peek into the psyche of Dave Mustaine at various points in his career.My only criticism of the book is not about what was written, but about what I wish was written. I was hoping there would be more space in the book devoted to the creative process Dave Mustaine has used to write the amazing catalog of Megadeth music, but unfortunately there is only a tiny fraction of the book devoted to this topic.

Great Book! Although I can't say I've listened to any of their music since I prefer a little milder type, I figured it would at a minimum be an interesting read. I couldn't be happier I gave it a shot. It's definitely worth the read and I enjoyed it very much. He explains everything and as I've read in all the other rock'n roll memoirs, the lifestyle can be rough and not as exciting as I always imagined. The life on the road, the excess....It's just hard to do as you get older. I recommend this read, it was very good and extremely well written. He's a very smart person. Since this band went thru so many changes, and the fights over musical direction, money, rights, etc......I think Dave should have just named the band "Mustaine" from the onset. That would have solved everything over the years (Guessing). I gave it 5 stars, he's extremely funny and has certainly seen more than most people.

I am neither a Megadeth nor Metallica fan - I am a casual listener of both - so I did not buy this book out of some blind devotion for all things connected to either band. However, in recent years I have read many blurbs or quotes from Mustaine and found him to be rather humorous and insightful. I read an excerpt from this book and put on my to-read list and about a year later, here I am.First off, Mustaine (or his handler) is a good writer. He kept the entire book interesting and I was always reluctantly putting the book (or Kindle, rather) down at bedtime or at the end of my lunch break. Despite Mustaine leading a somewhat common life to rock and rollers of that era, it's still fresh for some reason.Second, I had no idea how much his firing from Metallica affected him and he was very open about that entire situation. Maybe that is already well known by fans but again, I am a casual listener.My only gripe was despite the book's ability to draw you in and hold your attention, when I was finished, I felt like more could have been said. I did not feel like I had the whole picture of the "story" like I had after reading Slash's autobiog or Ace Frehley's or Peter Criss's (all great reads). The complaint is that Mustaine is a likeable guy and you want to know more about him.Overall, this was a great read and I recommend it to any fan of rock music. It's not on a gift list for my mother but I have recommended it to my brothers and friends!
