Been away from collecting and reading Spider-Man for a few years. Stopped after a few years of Miles Morales storyline, which i liked a lot. Heard about the Spider-verse from the upcoming movie and picked this book to get me started. I am not disappointed! Parker as a tech mogul doesn't seem the most natural fit, but it's growing on me, and the rest of the storyline is great! Looking forward to reading more!

Jump around a bit more than I liked. Didn't know it is more or less a compilation.

I'll be quick and honest, I am a long time spider!an fan, even liking the superior a lot. This was a good start in a familiar direction but it was full of a lot of filler pieces that took me out of the main narrative which I was not expecting. But after that whole part the rest of the volume was great definitely recommend for fans or minor newcomers.

Arrived damaged, it looked like someone used it as a writing pad.

My nephew really enjoyed it.

Introducing the next generation, my son and daughter, to the Spiderman Universe.

Together they have produced an engaging book that takes a lighthearted look at Peterson's professional career and unique personal life as well as a sobering view of the Parkinson's that has turned Peterson's life completely around. The story is inspiring to read and much more satisfying when the reader realizes that 100% of the money the book generates will be devoted to research into Parkinson's treatment and, with extreme diligence, an eventual cure of the disease.

It's hard to compare this against the polished mega-publisher books I usually read.This book appears to be self-published, the type is abnormally large and the editing - especially in the last 1/3 of the book - could be a lot tighter, but I enjoyed and recommend it.I'm a huge sports fan and remember Brent from his playing days in the NHL. The book details his life and career; focusing onhis battle with Parkinson's. He's very open about it and very honest. He's had tremendous support from family and friends and thebook focus's on how he's dealt with his situation.

Very easy read. Received on Wednesday afternoon and finished Thursday evening. Coach Petey alternates from stories of his playing and coaching careers with tales of his battle vs Parkinson's. He and Jim Diamond never allow the pace to get slow, or the story to become too depressing, but you never forget about the horrible disease that Peterson has to live with everyday. Recommend to any hockey fan or anyone that loves to cheer for a fighter.

Funny, smart, inspiring story of a great man! Quick read and well done. Supports a great cause!

I read the book in two days, it is witty and touching at the same time. He made it clear what people with Parkinson go through. The chapters about the DBS operation should clear up any questions people would have. I bought the book because (1) my brother has Parkinson and (2) I am a Nashville Predator fan. I am glad his family is so close, it makes a big difference.

Brent Peterson is a legend in Portland Oregon for being a great hockey player and great coach...he took all that he learned in the Rose City and parlayed that into a respected NHL coaching career. This book of his life and his dealings with Parkinsons Disease is a must read for hockey fans...and for those just interested in a man that leads a great life.

This is an inspirational story, but if you hear it right from Brent you'll find there is more detail that could have been included in the book to make it even better.

This is the world of Nicholas Carr. This child does not do. This child is done to. With the same alacrity that he or she pursued the prompt to watch the seals he or she may “decide” it is time to end this.2) I discovered my wife of the last forty-three years with whom I have raised two children and now five grandchildren with much happiness when while sitting on her front lawn, I seriously told her my goals in life. She thought they were so funny she actually rolled over laughing. If I had instituted a computer search what algorithm would have found her an appropriate match? Yet this brain of mine sorted through whatever book-formed channels it had and locked in immediately on her as the “one,” the antidote to the man who takes himself too seriously. The Internet would have provided me many potential companions, each more serious than the last. That is the way it works. It finds my interests and then adds to the pile. If I follow its suggestions I become narrower and narrower, a better candidate to respond to the advertisers, a defined target, and a wealth of possibilities pass me by.3) For something to remain in long-term memory it must spend two hours in short term memory. (There is actually a tiny physical growth that must happen.) But on the trip through rutabaga land, things go in and out too quickly to be grafted on the long-term nodules. Of course it still exists in the computer’s memory. When you know you need it, it can be sought. However the advantage of the human memory is that it coughs up stored information when you need it but do not know you need it. Not only does your intellect call on your memory, but your memory initiates conversations with your intellect. You won’t have that ability any longer. And since your long-term memory is not being used the section of the brain devoted to long-term memory has already begun to shrink.Distant memories of your mother’s tears, your father’s embrace, your sisters admiration and your little brother’s needs will be crowded out of the brain, and I doubt if you will find them in Internet land either.4) There are now residential therapy centers to assist the hooked to unhook from the Internet. I love all of Martina Slajerova's cookbooks, and I think her latest, "Keto All Day," may be her best yet! For those of you new to Martina's culinary creations, her recipes are exclusively keto, whole-food based, easy to follow and prepare, and absolutely delicious. She's truly the queen of keto cooking! "Keto All Day" allows you to plan your meals for the entire day in a way that makes the most sense for you, based on your food preferences and tolerances, as well as what ingredients and cookware you have on hand and the amount of time you can devote to meal prep and cooking. There are more than 100 enticing recipes in this book, including Carrot Cake Oatmeal for breakfast, an absolutely stunning Vegetable Rose Pie for lunch, and Keto Kung Pao Chicken for dinner. There are also several keto-friendly appetizer, dessert, and drink recipes that may very likely become favorites for entertaining. Complete nutritional information accompanies each recipe (very important to me, as a registered dietitian), along with beautiful photography throughout the book. If you're looking for delicious, healthy, easy-to-prepare recipes in a well-organized book, I highly recommend "Keto All Day."

Martina Slajerova is one of my favorite keto cookbook authors. As all her other books have been before it, this one is a home run. If you like very flavorful dishes with different herbs & spices -- things that run the gamut from Greek to Mexican to Middle Eastern to Eastern European, Asian, and beyond, this is a good book to add major flair to your cooking. I would say it's not the best book if you're brand new to keto, though. There's no info on why or how the diet works; it's all recipes, straight-up. (For newbies, start with her first book, The KetoDiet Cookbook.) This book is also probably better for people who enjoy cooking and have a bit of experience doing so. If your cooking skills stop at opening cans and boiling water, this probably isn't the best book for you. But if you *do* like cooking and want to add flair to your keto diet, this is a great buy. And no doubt -- you can easily entertain with these recipes. Your friends & family who don't eat keto won't miss the carbs at all when you bring these rich & satisfying meals to the table.Some of the recipes seem intimidating at first because the ingredient lists are long, but you'll notice it's mostly just different seasonings, so if you enjoy cooking and you keep a well-stocked spice rack and pantry (for canned tomatoes, nut flours, keto-friendly sweeteners, etc.), it's no problem. For anyone who thinks keto is nothing but bunless bacon cheeseburgers and pepperoni, Martina's books will open your eyes to the endless possibilities, whether you prefer red meat, poultry, fish, or vegetables. (Not that there's anything wrong with bunless bacon cheeseburgers!)A great keto cookbook for experienced cooks who want to step things up.

I ordered this book as a pre-order and have been looking forward to it! I just received it in the mail. It's a very nice book on the outside but when I opened it I discovered the contents of the book were bound upside down. Also, the binding is not complete as multiple pages fell out when I opened it and many others are barely hanging on. I do not want to go through the trouble of re-packaging and shipping back and I would like a replacement. The recipes look really good!

I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.This cookbook contains recipes that are designed for a Keto-friendly diet. The page layouts are very attractive and include both photographs and nutritional information, so that readers can get a true picture of the finished dishes. Divided into sections including Basics, Breakfasts, Snacks and Appetizers, Soups and Salads, Lunches, Dinners, Drinks and Desserts, and Extras, The Keto All Day Cookbook is organized in a logical fashion that follows the traditional progression of a meal.Somewhat new to the idea of a Keto diet, I was surprised to learn how involved the recipes can be, often including ingredients that may be unfamiliar to some readers. The Keto diet is one that I would not recommend to readers without the advice of a doctor, but using some of the recipes in this book as occasional meals can help inspire a new way of eating. Not all Keto recipes are high fat and many are nutritionally balanced between fat, protein, and low carbohydrates.The breakfast recipes include too many variations on egg dishes and not enough of anything else. Many of the appetizers and snacks are heavy, laden with creamy butter and eggs. I would like to try the Peri Peri Roasted Nuts (p. 49), as they are nutritionally balanced and a great way to combat those mid-day cravings. In the soup and salad section, Keto variations of Hungarian Goulash (p. 66) and Chicken Caesar Salad with Poached Egg (p. 72) are interesting twists of classic favorites. The low starch lunches are mostly labor intensive, making preparation the day before a key component for success. The recipe that I would most like to make is the Mexican Chicken Bowls (p. 85), as the avocado-feta salsa that makes up the base of the dish is a well seasoned and flavorful backdrop to the marinated chicken. In the high fat dinners section, there are vegetarian dishes as well as meat ones. Broccoli Mushroom Alfredo Casserole (p. 94) will have eaters not missing the meat in this well balanced and tasty dish. Healthy Fish Sticks with Tartar Sauce (p. 97) can be made kid friendly or lunch appropriate as Fish Tacos, with its slaw providing crunch and tartar sauce for its creaminess. Keto Kung Pao Chicken (p. 114) has an explosion of flavor with its marinated chicken and nutritionally sound vegetables. There are some amazing sugar-free drinks and desserts, like Chocolate and Raspberry Truffles (p. 142) and Creamy Dark Hot Chocolate (p. 154). Finally, the author ends the cookbook with sauces and marinades, the perfect accompaniments to many different dishes.Some of the ingredients in this cookbook are expensive and many not be readily available, so that is something that readers should keep in mind when choosing The Keto All Day Cookbook. I found a lot of the main dishes to be intriguing and I look forward to trying some of the recipes, although I am skeptical about making a switch to a Keto lifestyle.
