Some of the references that modernize the old scriptures are a bit outdated, but I am sure youth can find some fresh ideas. The writer has quite an imagination!

I love these skits and so do the kids. I have mainly used them at summer Bible camp. They can be hilarious and teaching a Bible story at the same time. Good with 2nd graders through college age.

Good experience

I used this as a fill in for our chapel time at school. It was a hit. The students loved it. They were engaged. The stories are funny but based on Biblical truth. I would say every youth leader needs to have this!

Spontaneous Melodramas is a great reasource for any church youth group! We love "acting out" these neat skits and we learn from them too. The skits are made so that youth groups of most any size can incorporate them. A great way to incorporate the youth. A great tool.

Any aspiring artist interested in using the medium of fluid acrylics would do well to check out “Because I Can: Fluid Acrylic Pouring & Abstract Art” by Priscilla Batzell and also her YouTube videos. I am certainly not an artist, but I am a former teacher and I consider both to be examples of an excellent textbook and a fine teacher. I admire her as an Inspirational teacher and I enjoy just reading and appreciating her art and the descriptions of the process and the tools she uses. Now, if I could just afford to buy one of her works of art!

I loved this book, very easy to understand and learn from. I am a watercolor artist looking for new avenues and this has been a most helpful book into the world of pouring. It's very useful that it tells you all that you need with examples and is so freely given. I love her style and use of color but I most appreciate how she shares every step, a lot of art books only give you bits and pieces and expect you to figure out the rest. Thank you very much for being so kind to share your work and process!

I just love Priscella and her work is amazing. This book is wonderful because she has videos to show you exactly what she does to accomplish her beautiful artwork.

Although I am new to acrylic pouring I have been following via YouTube for months now. This book adds to her teachings and would recommend to both new and experienced pourers.

I've been watching Priscilla's You Tube videos for quite awhile now. She's addictive. Her creativity with fluid acrylic pours, her own special touches, her entertaining off the cuff comments (sounds more like a YouTube review I know) - all I can say is that I'm so glad she is created this book to those who want to know more about this super fun medium and be inspired to actually try it themselves - offered by a master of "magnificent pours".

Priscilla Batzell is an amazing artist. Her you tube videos are informational and fun. I love checking out photos of her works in this new form. Keep up the good work Priscilla..... because you can.

Especially for a beginner, having everything in one easy to read book is paramount for the learning process. I'm especially impressed with the quality of the photographic images of the artist's remarkable color palette!! Every image is intriguing. It is thorough in it's documentation of each piece of artwork, tools, paints, etc. I had great expectations that this artist/teacher would put out a quality product, and it more than satisfied my expectations!!

A must have! Techniques are varied. To the point descriptions help along with the video of each. Well done! Worth the look see for eye candy alone.

Born in Frankfurt-am-Main, Erich Fromm (1900-1980) studied sociology and psychoanalysis. Excellent ideas presented. In examining one's existence one should read first Socrates, then Kierkegaard and then Fromm... This is a collection of essays/lectures concerning the way one makes decisions to compromise on the values held dear, the language we use to describe them and how a therapist relates to the patient. The art of listening is an essential part of modern mindfulness. Listening to one's self as we relate to both the internal and the external... How we adjust ourselves to become happy or clear think and thoughtful. We must first be ready to relate as a whole individual and second to actually relate. Fromm jumps back and forth as though in a debate with Frued and Jung, but his ideas are clear and concise, easy to understand and easy to implement... Brilliant!!!

Listening is the art of catharsis. Catharsis is not the product of speaking or free association as one might think because it does not occur if we wander about saying the same thing in our homes. Lying alone on a couch speaking the same words produce no affective change. It is in the art of careful listening that the healing process occurs. While the very end of this book deals with that art the use of this title is a misnomer for the bulk of the content. But in Fromm style, the academic thoroughness makes him a great summarizer and synthesizer of the Vienna Analytical Movement. The reader should know that another less known hero coaches him from the shadows. Karen Horney his senior and mentor can be heard between the lines, thoroughly present in spirit in this and many of Fromm's works.

Interesting at first, but eventually it lost my interest. I will go back and try it again one day. I expected it to be a lot about how to be a great listener, but really it is more of an explanation of psychoanalysis.

Fromm has always been a favorite of mine, "The Art of Loving" continuously on our book shelves, in fact while looking for another addition as a gift was when I stumbled on Fromm's "The Art of Listening" . It was one of Fromm's unpublished books recently released, and a treasure. Well written sensible, everyone listens, it's just that most of us don't do it very well, and this book helps to really move that skill up a notch. A great companion to the Art of Loving, in different time it could have been the prequel. Try it you'll like it, a great read, written with Fromm's sensible but interesting, scattered with anecdotes, it's on my gift list for this year.

I expected a book on listening and the art of conversation. It is instead a textbook for Psychiatrists and the title is derived from the last chapter. Not what I wanted and the title was misleading for me, but probably not if you were a young psychoanalyst in training.

Though it was composed from lectures plus other formal and even informal contacts with Fromm, it speaks with his voice and presents his thinking on issures not earlier addresses in his published works.Though it's constructed from Fromm's oral lectures and other formal and informal talks it speaks with his voice and deals with important issuers not addressed in his former written works. A major addition to the understanding Fromms positions on some critical aspects of psychotherapy and life.a real

Excellent summary of the therapeutic process. Many valuable insights. Short and informal, easily read and very accessible. I recommend it highly to patients or therapists.

I haven't finished itt yet,but as i have read many off Fromm's books It seems to me clear and to the point as most of his books are.Even tho' sometimes he repeats himself,but I think it needs some former knowledge,may be? margot

Passed my NY state Notary Test of the first try with the help of this book. Forget all the other study guides - this is all you need. PLEASE do the study guide IN ORDER. . Took test, got results in 7 -10 days. Submitted applications and less then 4 weeks later I got my license. Total time - Spend 4- 6 weeks reviewing this book. Take the practice tests. You need to get 28 multiple choice questions (out of 40) to pass.I was issued my notary license in less about 4 weeks from taking the test to submitting application. $15 test fee, $60 for 4 years. Plus the stamp custom order on Vista Print is $42 or XrubberStamp has a less expensive 5 line one for less than $20 with shipping (no prime)

If you want to pass the NYS Notary Public exam on the first try, this is the book you need. No other material necessary. I read the book twice and took both practice exams in the back and passed the exam on the first try. The license law is given to you both in long and short format (on the Kindle version which you can toggle between the two) and the questions are given to you in T&F, fill in, and multiple choice. The best thing about the answers given is they reinforce the material by providing additional information. In other words, the information is given to you in such a way that it's easy to digest and memorize.

If you want to pass the exam on the first time, buy this book. I read/studied a bit each day prior to taking the exam. I found the exam very easy and passed on my first try. You don't get a numeric score back; they just tell you if you pass or fail, but I felt comfortable with every single question on the exam and doubt I got anything wrong. All thanks to this book. I used no other study guides besides this book. Buy it and skip all the other nonsense!

Great book, easy to absorb, and good format. The practice tests were spot-on and helped me pass with no problem. The wording is simplified, so I could easily understand the laws that were being discussed without getting too lost in dense legalese.

Turned out to be an excellent study tool. Makes the Notary Law easy to understand. I read it cover to cover, quizzing myself around 10 times. Passed on the first try!!! But the actual test was harder than I thought it would be. The 40 multiple choice questions are worded differently than in this book that lead you to doubt yourself. They give it a twist. Go with your gut. You studied hard. You know your stuff. And memorize the fees. Good luck!!!

This book is all you need. period. Study It completely. Do all the questions , read rationales and when you have doubts go back and review the highlights. If you really study it and finish the book front and back and key work understand the material you will PASS ! Good luck everyone !
