Same book I was issued at Ranger School. Covers all the topics of small unit leadership, plus some basic information on fieldcraft. MNOTE/WARNING: This is not the book for you if you're looking for a manual on small unit fighting, this is more geared towards leadership and GENERAL information on patrolling. If you want to learn the basics taught at Ranger School, this is the real deal. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!

I'm a former US Army RANGER and SF, exact same book we received in RANGER school. Wish it was the older version where on the last page it had, If all else fails, read this, and it was the Lords Prayer.

This is a very disapointing reprint of a PDF of the actual manual. I have the actual PDF from the US Army and this seller has ripped it off to make a difficult to read print version. The text is very small and the formating is poor.

I am not rating the content of this book. I am rating the presentation and accessibility of the Kindle version using the Kindle Cloud Reader in a web browser. This content is available in PDF format from other sources at no cost. I found the PDF presentation to be much easier to use than the Kindle version. The Kindle version did not include graphics and images which is a material omission for this material. I found the Kindle presentation to be poor overall. I was able to easily configure the Kindle reader to alter the text and background colors which was useful and worth one star. I was able to easily find this title and access it through the Kindle library once purchased which is worth a second star. I recommend using the PDF version of this title until Amazon or the Kindle publisher corrects the lack of graphics and generally awkward and cumbersome presentation.

Words are way to SMALL and it's very hard to read.

This book is not to learn small unit tactics.. This is a legit handbook I'd expect to get at ranger school.There are small unit tactics, oh to use sights, map reading etc. but a lot of back office military report structure, continuity of command, order types etc.Interesting if that's what you want to learn but this is not going to giving to a crash course in military tactics. That's like 1/20th of the book.

This was supposed to be a gift, but I am returning it due to the subpar printing quality. The text is entirely too small (looks like size 8 font), and it appears to be a PDF that was copy/pasted onto the pages with no attempt to resize to the page (each page is only filled with about 3/4 of the text). I have a version from 15 years ago, so I know what it should look like.

They also make suggestions to disable employees from becoming Targets and discouraging the manager/supervisor from continuing their onslaught. Just because a manager discontinues harrassing one employee doesn't mean they won't continue doing this because according to the authors it springs from a deep seated insecurity and bullying as children by their parents or other children. Sadly, as the authors point out the Targets of bullying allow the bully to act out on their aggression and usually the bully has no insight into their actions or unethical behavior.You're not imagining it. This book will help you act and deal with these psychologically disturbed individuals wrongly put into positons of power.

Having been through previously unimaginable pain and loss both personally and in my career from an instance of this, never believe it cannot happen to you. No matter how strong you are as a person, how good you are at your job, how wise at office politics, etc, there is a nemesis out there for you. I hope none of you reading this find yours, and to those who have, I will share a quiet moment with you. There is not much one can say to another who has been there - you just know. In a way, being a military child, it's similar to a battlefield. The PTSD is real. The damage to you psychologically and emotionally, is real. But these people, be they evil, mentally ill, or damaged in some way go on with their lives and rarely with any consequences. That's reality. Namie does a good job calling out the issue, and most importantly calling it by its proper name. Bullying is not calling someone a name. Bullying is a systematic destruction of who you are as a person. And I have come to believe the only way to truly leave with your life intact, is to leave that environment and that individual permanently. Changing to a diferent department does not help, nor a different division. Mine came after me, behind closed doors, across several states. Do yourself a favor and get out as soon as you can make the move. And keep this book to help you realize you are not imagining things. Trust your gut. Your gut knows when it's really bullying and not just a bad day, a clash of personalities, or just a bad boss.

I wished that as a teenager, I had grasped this book to fully comprehend what I had to endure. The book covers in detail what workplace bullying or mobbing is, how it starts, what it does to you, types tactics used by the abuser, etc. I remember a full array of instances at workplaces dealing with these types of people. Some made verbal threats, others sabotaged personal relationships, invaded my privacy, discredited my work, spread malicious lies, intervened in job offers, divulged my personal economic standpoint to many, made false accusations, and even sexually harassed me. Of all employers, one struck a cord when I was in high school working at a fast food chain. She called me vulgar names in front of people, always humiliated me in front of the world. When People reported her for what she was doing to me and she punished me for it. It took time and courage to stand my ground. Shed go to lengths in victimizing herself that my parents thought I was the bad apple. It took a toll on me mentally. I decided after six months while having no support, to take control over the matter and to confront her regarding her actions. she said shed ensure no company would ever hire me, that no school would ever accept me, and ensure that people would make my life miserable. And that indeed she did. Companies came forward advising she did recommend that i not be considered for employment and people came forward advising she had told them to participate in rumors and ways to cause misery but they wanted no part in it. I was so young but I understood that she had no power over me. She used all her authority, money, power, and influence to do bad things to me. But I never gave up. Years later, I found out she had lost her business and that she was asking people around for me because she regretted all the terrible things shed put me through. Karma. In another instance, I had a female coworker at an office that hated me so much for no reason, such that she verbally told me she wished I was dead and that I should kill myself because she was never going to stop in her attempts to destroy my life. She spread many lies, invaded my privacy, turned coworkers into my enemies through lies, and even dressed like me, wore her hair like me and intervened in my personal relationships. There are so many more instances to name a few in witnessing and being targeted for this type of abuse. Sadly there are no workplace laws to protect us from these types of abusive events and sadly these conflicts can go on for years and years. People often continue with these types of abusive campaigns outside of the workplace. I learned on my own that when someone says that I'll never be happy and I'll never succeed it means i can, that I should always fight for the truth and for my happiness, I learned to stand my ground and walk with my head high when confronting adversity within my workplaces, that if I get mad and give in to my aggressor...I am giving them power over me. This is a good book to obtain on workplace mobbing whether you're self employed, a CEO, manager, supervisor, or someone looking to gain some perspective on how to handle these types of covert emotionally manipulative and abusive people within the work environment...then I'd say this book has some amazing insight.

If you’re a fan of Boo Walker's Red Mountain series, you’re sure to enjoy this prequel that introduces the eccentric Margot! Walker’s novella stands entirely on its own and is a pleasure to read - even if you’re unfamiliar with the Red Mountain series.While I couldn’t say that I necessarily related to Margot's passive aggressive nature, I certainly rooted for her throughout the entire story and couldn’t wait to find out what other crazy schemes she’d concoct to release her “pressure valve” while trying to save her marriage.This book is the perfect escape and I love how Walker has the ability to create and develop his characters in a way that makes you fall in love with them.

Since I've read the Red Mountains books, I was excited to read this prequel and learn more about Margot. It was fascinating to read the "story behind the story". In the Red Mountain books, the reader is told how Margot ended up in Washington State, but never given specific details. A Marriage Well Done gives the details, and they are fascinating ones!!!!! In some ways, I wish I read this first because I would have seen Margot as the warrior she really is and I would have appreciated her new life more than when I read Red Mountain.Boo Walker's writing is superb. His characterizations are spot on, the plot moves at just the right speed, and his ability to write dialogue, accurate. He has a way of telling a story that a lot of writers lack. He doesn't over-do the descriptions, but the reader still gets a true sense of the story, the scenery, and the emotions of the characters. Some authors excel in one area, but miss the mark in others. Mr. Walker hits them all.I absolutely loved this book, as I've loved the other books I've read by Boo Walker. This is an awesome read!!!!!

I was fortunate enough to read Walker's suggestion of reading "A Marriage Well Done" prior to starting the Red Mountain series. I followed that suggestion and was pleased to have the background information as I read the R.M. series. The story was well developed and set the tone for arrival of the reader at Red Mountain. I've read the three books of this "trilogy" or the the Red Mountain series and am now on Low Country Punch. I've enjoying having found Walker's work!

Boo's writing makes you feel like you are having a real conversation with Margot. Almost like two friends sitting together talking about life. This book reveals the whys and hows of Margot going to Red Mountain. You laugh, cringe and want to see her succeed and be happy. Lots of great moments in the book. I love all of the Red Mountain Series!

I really did devour the pages of this book and I'll tell you why at the expense of exposing my female instincts. Margot is a woman who barely maintains her sanity and survives a a crumbling marriage by wicked imagination. In the midst of our New England, winter, I found a book to snuggle up to for not enough nights of wicked pleasure. She has a friend in me, this Margot. A Broadway ex, her lust for a passionate marriage accompanied by the perfect meal consumes her. Do we want her marriage to succeed? Hell no, where is the fun in that? I wonder if others are as satisfied as I am with the ending of this chapter in the life of Margot. I ordered Mr. Walker's Red Mountain the night before finishing this delectable slice of life and read chapter one this morning. (Hey, Boo, I am writing this while our 2010 DoubleBack cab from Walla Walla eats some air. In the background Art Tatum croons. Keep 'em coming, Boo.

I recently discovered this author.... and read about his novels.... and saw that this was a prequel to the Red Mountain series.... I love watching characters develop and really getting into their lives when reading, so I got all of these books on my Kindle - then read them in order. A Marriage Well Done is a great story - and does a good job getting you hooked into these characters lives.... I spent most of the novel wondering what was wrong with this marriage... and then moved right on to the Red Mountain series. Impressed with how well a male author captured this female perspectives of the novel too. Highly recommend Boo Walker!

It is easy to see how Margot loses herself in the fight to keep her life as it is and then wonder if that is what she really wants after all. This book is not only a great character study but also gives us the back story for Margot, one of the central characters of the Red Mountain Chronicles. Margot’s journey takes many twists and turns and prompts us to ask ourselves, “how far would I go?”. So, settle in and enjoy the journey, it’s never bland and always richly satisfying😊

This was my first book to read by Boo Walker! Was I surprised! I was hooked! So glad Amazon picked his books up. I was fortunate to have discovered "A Marriage Well Done" as a prequel. A must have for any dentist interested in TMJ, especially anyone who treats TMD. Although a great reference, this is a great start to finish book. I have returned to school for a master's degree in orofacial pain...this is my TMJ Bible! I like that you can download it for a free 7 day review.

One of the definitive works for TMJ diagnosis and treatment. I don't necessarily agree with all the treatment methods, but you can't argue with the the depth and consistent re-writes for new additions to stay up with current changes and methods. A must have for any clinician.

This is the seventh edition of Okesons work. It has pictures of every aspect to help guide the reader and sort out the truth from the jejune. He is not in the tank for LasVegas, Cranio, Tens style treatment. Good basic complete information.

The book is a greate source for Dental students, but I bought the book brand new and it arrived with a open mail envelope and with damage. And for a 100+ price tag I would expect better.

This was one of the gifts we gave to our teen nephew for his confirmation. It is a small book, size and length, so it would be easy to carry and store wherever life might take the young men in your life.

After reading a daily devotion, I thought it could have been better written for teens. It's semi-stoic, bland & just would assist young men (& women) to get closer to Christ of it was a bit happenin'. If you know what I mean.

As this was a gift for my grandson I started reading it myself to check this book out. It is a wonderful book for young men. It will not take a long time to get through, but the good advise inside should help them form and make good decisions. So important.

My 12 year old nephew loved the book and carried it around wherever he went when he first got the book.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I enjoyed Anne Garrels method of telling the story of pre-war (2003 war) Iraq from the point of view of someone who was there on the ground witnessing things firsthand. Anne is a great journalist and now I also find that she is a talented author. When you read parts of this book you can remember seeing the scenes on the evening news, but hearing the backstory from someone who was actually there really brings these events to life.On an editorial note; it just feels such a pity that we abandoned those who helped us so to the animals called ISIS. Seems Vietnam didn't teach us that this is a wrong thing to do.

Great book. I ordered "Naked in Baghdad" after reading Anne Garrels current "Putin Country". I need to pass them both on to others. I did think the emails from her husband "back home" were unnecessary and detracting, especially in the first half of the book. After the first couple, I just skimmed and skipped through them. Later, some of them were worth reading, as they contained serious information and questions.

I read this book after reading "From Baghdad With Love" and how Anne Garrels helped save a puppy. Garrels was in Baghdad reporting for NPR weeks before the U.S. invasion in 2003 and remained there for several weeks afterwards. I found this book a worthwhile read and as far as I can tell it is her only book.

Anne Garrels is concise and insightful, just as her reporting from Iraq was. Anyone who heard her reports on NPR can easily hear her voice here in the book. There are somewhat awkward phrases thrown in from her husband back home, and at first I thought they distracted from the book. But they give some idea of what the spouses of war reporters go through themselves. Anne's accounts, explanations and behind-the-scenes views show us far more what is involved in putting together the well-crafted stories that end up on the air.

Having been young during this time period this is a great narration of the events in Bagdad and Erie foreshadowing of events happening now. Anne is brave and talent report I never new all the hoops that new reports over sea must jump through. Thanks for all the hard work.

Excellent book. It's amazing just how much we don't know about the reporters actual situation and danger. I learned a lot about what happened in Iraq after the US attacked them.

Fantastic

This is a well-written, often fascinating account of life in Baghdad under Saddam while waiting for the bombs to fall. It's fun to hear some of the events from war-time Baghdad told from the receiving end.That said, all she ever reported was local color. What was the purpose in risking her life, except for her own ego and adrenalin rush?This is a nice little book, but there's not much new or relevant here about the Iraqi situation.
