Numbers of reviewers have praised this volume as the best guide to Norway. They must have never used it! My wife and I bougtht this volume (and several others) to prepare for a long-awaited two-week vacation in Norway. As always in every DK book, we found the illustrations beautiful and certainly they whetted our desire to see any number of the sights that were described. Oslo and its environs are well-discussed but, sadly, there is little more of any depth and the book is almost worthless for traveling outside the capital region. Other areas get short shrift. Stavenger in the south and Tromso in the north, for instance, both get only 2 pages (out of almost 300); Trondheim, one of the most significant tourist attractions, gets but 4. (In contrast, the recently published Moon Norway devotes 15, 18, and 26 pages respectively to those three cities). For us, as we traveled, we soon found this volume tucked in our suitcase most of the time. If anyone wants depth over “prettiness,” just about any other guide book woud be any improvement.

Unless your trip is only taking you to the big cities of Norway, this is not the book for you. I bought this for a two week trip to the Fjords and norhtern Norway and was disappointed. Very little information on any of the smaller cities and very little detail on the Fjords and outdoorsy areas of the country. If you are just going to Oslo and Bergen, you may like it.

This guidebook was a great resource for planning a trip to Thailand. The city guides are well-written, and the book covers just about every conceivable destination, not just the main tourist hubs. I found a couple of hidden gems looking through here. Dining options recommended were hit or miss, but the hotels were consistently good.It's also useful for a lot of the cultural notes for foreigners, covering everything from the wai, tipping, clothes to wear (especially at the wats), and common faux pas. Sure, a good deal of this may be available in online resources, but the book does a solid job of compiling this all into one travel-friendly resource, especially for those who may be outside of data networks while trekking across Asia.

This travel guide might well be packed with useful information, but I'll never know. The font size is microscopically small and also mostly in gray rather than black. I'm middle-aged and still have good reading vision, but found it nearly impossible to read even in the bright light at home. Can't imagine being able to read it at all in the typical poorly-lit European hotel room.

I got hold of this at home for some days (it belonged to a friend's friend) and decided to buy it before a 3 weeks trip to India with my daughter and my sister. Together with a foldable road map, they resulted in our next sacred books! The fact that not only it offers good descriptions and interesting facts but also pictures and infographics helped us decide where to go and which places could be left out in our Rajasthan/Delhi/Agra 3 weeks journey. OK, a bit heavy to carry it in a purse/tote while riding a camel in Jaisalmer, but perfect to read it in the long rides by car or train that this vast and wonderful country encourages you to do...

This book is decent if you want a general overview of Norway. But, if you're looking for more detail and advice relating to hiking in Norway or details on the non-major populated areas, then this book is not for you.

Love, love, love the DK Eyewitness books and this one is no different. A tidy little travel companion that's as helpful before you go as after you get back. I love the succinct summaries of history, art, architecture. Pictures are gorgeous and help identify all those pictures you can't quite place when you get home. Not sure how up-to-date they are in terms of places to eat or how they choose hotels and stuff, but I do enjoy reading them. I do not take them with me because they are way too heavy.

I love the DK and IDG series for their beautiful pictures, maps, and diagrams. The historic and background information in this book is helpful for me decide the places I'd like to visit on guided tours. Afterward, it will remain, among my own photos, a memento of my trip.Suggestion: if you're planning a self-tour, you may want to supplement or stick with Lonely Planet or Fodor's for more detailed explanations and practical logistics such as where to stay and eat.

This book is well written with great graphics (tables and charts) that illustrate main ideas and examples. It is moderate to difficult subject matter covered in such a way that makes for an easy read with necessary information to know for all decision-making professionals within an organization. The author provides real life examples where companies have analyzed data, completely missing or misinterpreting the clear signals the data was displaying causing the company unnecessary costs. Likewise, the author does a superb job at highlighting why behavior control charts are a mandatory and useful tool when analyzing data used for strategic decision-making. What is a behavior control chart you say? I recommend that you read this book.

Don Wheeler, former colleague of W. Edwards Deming, explains how VERY SIMPLE statistics can transform any business process.As a young boy in Tennessee, I sometimes uncovered "white lightning" (moonshine whiskey) hidden in forests. MIght his East Tennessee roots give Wheeler his rare sense of humor and fascination with how data and KPI's can be used to "cheat?"This book is very rich in actual examples of data being used to mislead as well as KPI's which actually promote THE OPPOSITE behavior intended.Wheeler takes the reader through multiple "cycles of learning" in this short read which is easily completed in under 2 hours on a flight. Well written. Easy to follow. Great summary of rule sets and methodology provided for you if don't want to read every word (although, I encourage you to do so). I firmly believe that everyone in manufacturing should read this book. If you think you know how to interpret a control chart, you may find that your understanding was limited once you read this book. It gave me a huge advantage over my peers and helped me lead them into greater capability. Buy it and READ IT. You won't be sorry (if you take it seriously and apply it).

Donald J. Wheeler's book is an excellent refresher for quality professionals. But, more importantly, is an effective and easily understood primer for managers of other functions--no previous statistical knowledge is required by the reader. The book demonstrates that "control charts" can be used to understand the outputs of a wide variety of processes. Wheeler provides a concise explanation of control charts. He focuses on charts for individual values and moving ranges, XmR, to analyze numerical data, such as % of on-time shipments, % of premium freight, material costs, and total production costs. In only 155 pages he illuminates the principles and construction of "process behavior charts". No previous statistical knowledge is required and the book doesn't get bogged down in either statistics or mathematics--the focus is on understanding and interpreting data. By using data other than "product measurements" he demonstrates that the control chart can be used to interpret and understand the outputs of a wide variety of processes. A "must" read for every manager--in manufacturing or service industries.

After reading this book (only took a couple of evenings) I feel like Keanu Reaves in The Matrix.I've been studying Dr. Deming's system of profound knowledge, and the bit about understanding variation has been on my TODO list. This book nailed it with a crystal clear introduction to Statistical Process Control (SPC), which Dr. Deming promoted based on his learnings from statistician Walter Shewhart when they worked together at Bell Labs. As Dr. Deming pointed out, an eighth-grader could do this; it's not supposed to be hard, so take the negative reviews of this book with a grain of salt. If you already understand and use SPC, you won't gain nearly as much from this book as a newbie like myself.I remember reading Deming's Out of the Crisis and thinking that the terminology around SPC could easily be confused. "Control" is a very loaded term. Dr. Wheeler has come up with a new terminology, replacing "Control" with "Predictability", among other things. This is going to make it much easier for me to talk about without creating misconceptions.Thanks Dr. Wheeler for making this topic so approachable and for framing it in such a compelling way, and for not being afraid to promote an entirely new terminology even when your book publishing company is known as "SPC Publishing". This reinforces your own personal belief in continual improvement.

One of the pieces of Deming's system of profound knowledge is "understanding variation." To learn that concept, I can't recommend enough this book by Wheeler. It's only 168 pages & is easy to read (unlike most of Deming's own material, sorry to say).One of the great statements in the book (my paraphrase):When you give a person/group an improvement goal, they will do 1 of 3 things:1. Improve the system2. Fudge the numbers3. Work around the system to meet the goal.Most do items 2 & 3. He gives real life examples of each in the book. Must read for those who want to improve!

Gregor and Boots return to the Underland, this time along with their mother. Gregor has been studying the Prophecy of Blood, but is having trouble understanding and deciphering this one. A terrible plague is killing the Underland’s warmblooded creatures. When their mom contracts the plague, Gregor the Warrior and Boots the Princess have no choice but to join the ill-fated group on a quest to find a field of Starshade, believed to be the cure to the Plague.This third book in the Gregor the Overlander series was just as good as the previous two. I read it out loud to my 9 and 7 year old boys and, once again, they were begging me to buy the next book as soon as we finished this one. These books are deceptively simple. On the surface they seem like just a nice fantasy story about giant creatures and humans who live under the earth, but when you start thinking about them, they are really about so much more. The boys are understanding some of the deeper meanings and have had good conversations about them. There are some disturbing bits in this one, such as how a rat dies and also the loss of two characters in battle. Most disturbing is the ultimate meaning of the Prophecy. I highly recommend reading Gregor And The Curse Of The Warmbloods.

I really never saw myself reading books for ages "9 and up," but a friend recommended the series and I became hooked. The first book had me hesitant, I'm not usually a big fan of child narrators, but Collins proved me wrong. The other problem I usually have with younger age books is that they are too simplistic. Once again, Collins proves me wrong. The writing is simplistic enough to be believable for a 12yr old's point of view, but the plot itself is unpredictable and full of really good twists and keeps you thinking.The action pieces are also something I did not expect, as I thought they would be downplayed for a younger age. Instead, they are well written and demonstrate the brutalities of battle (even if the ones fighting are not human) and although not the most gruesome scenes I've read (I read horror genre too). I was surprised that the level of brutality was recommended for ages as young as nine, but as an older reader I found it refreshing to not have fights and battles sugar coated.The characters are engaging and the whole Underland world is complete and intriguing with the many 'peoples' that live there and the differences all the groups have. I cannot recommend how a reader of say age nine would like this series, but I can say that as a 22yr old, if you don't mind reading something a 'the lower level,' I defiantly recommend it for many ages over 9.

The Underland Chronicles have become my current favorite children's books. You have to be cautious about heaping too much praise on an uncompleted series, but I can say that at this point I rank these books on par with Narnia for sheer magic. Lacking the theological underpinnings, Collins' series does share some superficial similarities--mundane children entering another world through secret portals to discover that they are part of something grand. In the case of 11-year-old Gregor, he must cope with the unexpected difficulties of being the prophesied "warrior," burdened with quite a bit more responsibility than he would like. Themes of sacrifice and honor are heavily explored.This novel, like the others in the series, has an engaging plot with rapid movement that should keep readers of most ages involved and entertained. But the real strength here lies in the characters. Gregor in particular is very real and sympathetic. His struggles to balance his personal needs and desires with his greater sense of what is "right" are deftly handled--not so heavy-handed as to weigh the story down, they impart messages without preaching. The characters around him are fleshed out in part by Gregor's empathy. His efforts to understand others makes his companions three-dimensional as well. As near as I can determine, Collins is careful to give consideration to the motives of everyone in her stories. Her villains are not particularly noble, but they do make sense. One word of warning to those considering these books for very young readers: while I am comfortable sharing these stories with my 8-year-old son, I believe that some more sensitive audiences may find the intensity of Gregor's adventures hard to handle. Characters do die in these stories--indeed, sometimes Gregor kills them. Violence is not glorified in these books--far from it--but there are moral dilemmas and tragedies that parents might want to read for themselves before sharing these treasures with their children. I wouldn't go so far as to recommend against them even for very small children, but parents of the more sensitive might want to prepare and judge for themselves.I can't say where Gregor's adventures will take him or if at the end of the journey I will have enjoyed them as much as I'm enjoying them now, but I will say that there are no other books on the market that I anticipate as keenly as I do these. I would invite readers of any age to share the experience with me. But do start at the beginning. Coming in on the middle of this series would only deprive you of a lot of the texture that makes this world wonderful.

"The Underland Chronicles" by Suzanne Collins of "Hunger Games" fame are something like a combination of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Harry Potter", in which Gregor, an intelligent and highly principled boy from modern New York City, falls into Underland, a world far below the surface. In the stories, Gregor discovers heretofore unknown abilities in himself, and becomes mentally and emotionally mature beyond his years. This series is aimed toward grade levels 4 and up, and it would be an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys a good adventure story. It does contains a fair amount of violence, and several characters die throughout the series.

This book is the best of the Underland Chronicles. The problem/quest is compelling and is clearly laid out from the beginning, the prophecy is cryptic enough that I as a reader didn't really get it until the characters did, and the new characters are fantastic.Hamnet, the kind yet conflicted outcast, brought a whole new depth to the series. His guilt over past wrongs and love for fellow creatures makes the Underland's conflicts and Regalia's role in them all the more heart-wrenching. His history also opens up a new understanding of the royal family, in particular the gulf between Vikus and Solovet.

I was debating whether to buy this book, to be honest. I've followed Clay Travis for 18 months or so, from before his whole "I love the First Amendment and Boobs" incident (which he gives a decent amount of time to, giving his side of the story that we haven't seen before). I figured I had probably read everything he was going to talk about in the book, so why bother? I decided to get the book just to throw support his way for 18 months of free content. I'm really glad I did.The book is more than just a rehashing of his MSESPN columns, and more than just showing examples of left wing bias in the sports media. He dives into the history of ESPN's rise and how they eventually became MSESPN, starting with his own awakening to the liberal politics in the sports media during the Mizzou Football team protest, continuing through the fawning Caityln Jenner and Michael Sam coverage, then examining in detail the ESPN firing of Curt Schilling and non-firing of Jemele Hill.I was expecting the in-depth chapter of Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protests (afterall, Trump is dunking on CK on the cover of the novel), but it had some interesting angles regarding what CK's actual goals for the protest might have been, and how comparisons to Muhammed Ali weren't vaild. I think my favorite line in the book was this, about why CK had not found another quarterback job: "… [if] Bill Belichick believed a transgender dwarf lesbian could be the next Tom Brady, he’d play him. (And probably even deflate the footballs a bit for his/her tiny hands)”I didn't expect his constant defense of the importance of the First Amendment in America. In fact, that's probably the biggest theme of the book - that our country is more divided today because we shut down the ability of people to make arguments instead of arguing against the arguments themselves. Clay writes "Indeed, the underlying thesis of this entire book is this: if sports fans aren’t able to say what they actually think, and if corporations restrict what their employees can say by rewarding or punishing employees for their political beliefs, then the marketplace of ideas is broken. Our country suffers as a result."I think this is a great book to read - even if your politics are more left than right. This isn't a "liberals and progressives are bad and you should think like Ann Coulter" type book. This is a book that's much more about having the right to express your opinions.Here's the real litmus test for this book - read this line "There’s a huge difference between saying 'I disagree with you and here’s why' and 'I disagree with you and you should never be able to utter that opinion in public again and remain employed,'" If you agree with that idea, you'll like the book. If you disagree with that idea, then this book isn't for you. Go back to twitter, go on a deep dive through an athlete's tweets from when he was 14, and blast it around the internet and get your hate mob action going.

As someone who enjoys reading opinions I agree with AND those which challenge my way of thinking, I strongly recommend this book. If you’re of the opinion that sports has become far too political, read this book. If you think Nike making Colin Kaepernick the face of their company is the greatest socially relevant marketing decision in history, read this book. If you’re like me, you may not agree with everything Clay Travis says, writes or does. However, I always can appreciate his perspective, his candor and his in depth analysis and commentary of complex issues and stories.

This book is an open discussion of sports and politics with a catchy title. It is alsa a state of common or uncommon sense. I listen to Clay and at times hate him, at times admire him and at times I agree with him.This is not a copycat book but rather an earnest work product worth the read.Well done Clay...

Clay Travis is an absolute genius. I told my wife that if I had 1/4 the wit and knowledge of Clay, I too would be a millionaire.But seriously, this book was an absolute masterpiece. It was very well written, yet very easy to understand. All of the concepts and points of the book were details with and facts and Clay made it a point to use various facts and examples to prove each concept. There were a couple areas of the book that I felt got a bit repetitive in different chapters, but I do understand it was probably done on purpose again to prove Clays point.For all those people that talk crap about this book, it can only be for one of two reasons. Either they didn't read or live so far away on a different planet that they're just a bunch of incompetent and absolute idiots that don't understand the truth aka facts.If this was a show, I'm standing up and applauding for an entire minute. EPIC!!!!!!

I enjoyed this book, I've heard the author on the Ben Shapiro show being interviewed. He breaks down the corruption of sports coverage by social justice warriors using sports journalism to push their left wing world view. For some reason athletes and owners are going along with the trend, not realizing that everything the left touches they ruin - education, the arts and now sports. Sports is a total meritocracy , thus an anathema to leftist idealogy, the ultimate aim is to destroy sports as a unifying edifice for American society. The idiot players don't understand that, so I welcome year over year double digit declines in viewership, revenues and interest. Sometimes the only way to fix stupid is to let the stupid know that choosing the behavior is choosing the consequences.

I home school two boys and friends and family are always asking how I know what to teach my kids. It cracks me up, but now I can say I have a guide that tells me everything they need to know for middle school according to Common Core. We officially don't follow Common Core in Texas, but in reality the schools teach it since the kids have to take standardized tests that follow it.These guides are great! I read them to my 4th and 6th graders and then supplement with YouTube/history channel/etc videos and books with photos. It is nice to know that I am covering at least the minimum they need in case they ever have to go to public schools. God forbid. ;-)I think these books explain things well and I like the questions at the end of each chapter. These are really a great resource for homeschooling. I personally am not a fan of paying big money for curriculum, so these books are a valuable and affordable resource.

My 7th grade daughter absolutely loves this whole series and so do I! She is homeschooled and learns easily but gets bogged down sometimes by curricula and regular textbooks. These study guides have been a great way for her to learn the important information and retain it. We currently use the entire series as her "spine" for learning after using a plethora of curricula choices (online, classical, unit studies, you name it) in the past. She reads the chapter as an intro, then we research in other sources as needed (sometimes completing additional projects as well) and then she completes the quiz at the end of the chapter. We use the Math book along with ALEKS online math but the other books are a great scope & sequence for middle school students along with a few other supplemental materials. Her standardized test scores have increased drastically since we bought these books last fall, yet she feels like she's in control of her education and able to dive in deeper to the subjects as she wants/needs as part of our interest driven educational philosophy.

Every parent should invest in this book for their middle schoolers, as a Science Teacher I can attest to the fact this is complete and written in an easy to understand format

As a homeschooling parent, I have reviewed and used MANY different books. Me and offspring both really like this book. It has bright colors, graphics, and is very visually appealing. It is laid out very well, as far as the sequence of learning. We got this to use as supplemental a study gude, but we both like it so much that it is now her primary class book.

I bought it for my 7-yr old (along with the math book), to introduce him to more concepts before he moves to middle-school, just to trigger his interest. Since Amazon provides a way to check some pages before buying it, I was able to see the format & content was quite nice. We received the books yesterday and I have very pleased!The books are quite thick and cover more topics than I imagined a middle schooler would (I'm from France and I do not remember covering that much in middle school).In particular, I appreciate the format of the book, the tone/colors/fonts used, and the fact that it is a very recent print. As an astronomer, I was delighted to see a reference to the probable Planet 9 or Planet X that has been suggested only very recently!In the end, it might be a bit too much info for a 7-yr old, but I am sure he will read some chapters here and there since they are usually very short. It is even a very good refresher for me, for topics I haven't seen in a while.

Bought for my gifted son who’s going to be in middle school next year.He knows most of this and really helped to learn what he doesn’t now.Only issue I have had that with the Reproductive system,Heridity and Genitics.If your kids are so smart,after reading those chapters,they will know or will make them very curious about something that they’re not supposed to know in this younger age.I didnt let my son read those 1 or 2 sentences yet because I explained most of the process other than main part.I know he’s not convinced but good thing is that he’s not really interested in biology yet.I added a picture of those pages which I’m worried of.As a parent,If you are not ready to talk about that,beware of these pages.I hope the pictures I attached here will help you get an idea what I’m talking about.Otherthan that,it’s a must have for simple and easy reference.Thanks👍

I purchased this book for my daughter who is going into the 7th grade and it is even better than we'd hoped.The book is full of clear, concise information written at grade level and presented in a fun, easy to use fashion. There are plenty of detailed explanations coupled with fun illustrations, graphs, and overviews.The book covers a wide variety of science and based on what was covered in my daughter's science class last year, the information lines up just about exactly.What I like most is how engaged she is with the book. She finds the information she needs easily and it is detailed but brief, much better than a questionable google search for sure. The author and designer of this book went to a lot of trouble to understand what would interest, compel and educate a modern middle schooler.This complete set is a must have for any middle school household.

Check Your Knowledge questions and answer page included. Contents list all the units and it's coverage. What makes this book stand out from all the others is that it includes all the important information broken down in easy to understand text and simple to read maps. It's all you need to know and that's it. There are a total of 5 subjects in this series: they include Math, Science, English Language Arts, World History, American History in the series and we have all of them. This is definitely worth the investment. Parents will find this book and series simple to explain to your child and/or read with them. Nothing complicated. Buy this book and the others in the series. I highly recommend it.

About the Author

Rosa Brooks is a Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation, a columnist for Foreign Policy, and a law professor at Georgetown University. She previously worked at the Pentagon as Counselor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy; in 2011, she was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. Brooks has also served as a senior advisor at the US Department of State, a consultant for Human Rights Watch, and a weekly opinion columnist for the Los Angeles Times. Her articles and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and dozens of other newspapers and magazines, and she is a frequent television guest, with appearances on the Charlie Rose Show, the Rachel Maddow Show, the Today show, Meet the Press, and Erin Burnett OutFront. This book should be mandatory reading for every American who cares about the direction the country is moving. It should be read by everybody in government and the military. It will scare the socks off of you, but at the same time it is a prescription for how to avoid having the military take over America whether intentionally or as a result of mission creep.The author, Rosa Brooks, knows whereof she speaks. Originally from an anti-war background, she is a lawyer teaching at Georgetown law school who has worked in high-level positions in the State Department, in the Pentagon and has personally visited Afghanistan, Iraq, and many other hot spots around the globe. She has interviewed diplomats, generals and common soldiers.Brooks' message is that war has changed since 9/11, that it now incorporates cyberspace, drones, nation-building and boots-on-the-ground. The military is gradually doing stuff that has been the province of the now-under-funded civilian agencies. Unfortunately, it's simply easier to let the military do it…easier but more dangerous to the health of our democracy.Read it and get off the couch if you want to have America survive as a democracy.

Rosa Brooks has written a cogent and succinct description of the process that has brought us into the legal morass where we are in a perpetual state of war in which the laws of war no longer apply. Of course, this summary doesn't do justice to the complexity of the book, and the book can't cover the entire landscape of the complicated intersections between the military and the civilian world, i.e. the issue of the militarization of domestic police forces. It does a superb job of setting the philosophical and legal framework for the question of the nature of war (and therefore also the nature of peace) and suggests that our natural human state includes conflict. A very basic social function is managing that conflict.Brooks contends that in our current system, military and civilian leaders don't speak the same language. Misunderstandings are so profound that if we don't find a way to build common experiences and develop the same view of the world and the problems that confront us, we are unlikely to find the appropriate responses to build a sustainable future.

Required reading if you have any sense of how rapidly globalization has fused so many countries into confrontation and the military mindset. The thoughtful thesis of the title and eloquent reasoning by the author offers a powerful case leading to the difficult conclusion that the faster we globalize this world, the more rapidly hopes of peace recede. For the moment we continue to avoid the end-all of nuclear confrontation and nuclear war, but the proliferation of wars and the power of the military as a political tool are at heart of Ms Brooks' reasoning. The book is not a difficult read thanks to the authors fluid style and sensible organization. What is difficult is confronting the reality of how far down the road of aggression and confrontation we have come in dealing with all of our problems.

I found the author's take on the evolution of our military, and its possible ramifications for the future, an interesting and insightful read. It's too bad the Breitbart-reading crazies posting bad reviews here lack the reading comprehension skills to appreciate it. Way to go, Breitbart, for publishing a misleading post leading to widespread threats and derision for a stance this author most assuredly did NOT advocate.

A useful discussion about war in the 21st century. The book really shines when Brooks talks about her time in the Pentagon and at Human Rights Watch. The examples and stories are quite fascinating. Her discussion about the legal issues surrounding the conduct of war is also interesting. I found the last chapter - Managing War's Paradoxes - to be the least effective. She presents some good thoughts about how to secure human rights in a time of muddled lines between peace and war as well as how to shine light on some sketchy US government acts but there is no blueprint. Overall, this book is very interesting particularly if you're interested in the DoD. Recommended.

A former Pentagon official married to an Army Green Beret, at the same time with a top notch legal education and record as a legal scholar in her own right, Rosa Brooks has written an incredibly clear and accessible discussion of how Americans have come to expect more and more from the military, particularly since September 11, and casts a critical but balanced eye towards the way in which the U.S. has conducted the war on terror. There are surprises here for people on both sides of the political spectrum, and I really enjoyed the way in which Brooks combined objective analysis with personal experience.

In this era of extreme polarization, this book does a very good job of illustrating how very little there is that is clearly black and white - even in our notions of war. The proper structure of that `space between war and peace' is the thoughtful theme of this book. This author is smart and nuanced.

Book is absolutely fascinating and informative. It is a reality check for all of USA who have lived thru these years of perpetual war. Brooks is so detailed and fact checked. Our soldiers are being used to fight for defense of country, rebuild nations destroyed by military and terrorist activities. They are in an untenable situation of having to use their own judgements as to whom is the combatant and who is not. Imagine, being the one firing the bullets that kill and maim children! Imagine being the ones who have to help clean up a drone hit hospital. PERPETUAL WAR has to be stopped. AM ppl are becoming so numbed to death of others, that our value system is in real jeopardy.
