You will love this book. I am a homeschooling mom and wanted something for my 3 year old. The pages are fun and educational. My favorite thing is it has a hard cover and is spiral bound. This is nice because the book doesn't shut if your not holding the pages down like the other books would. Very affordable price too! For sure a 5 star.

Love. Love. Love this. My 4 year old also enjoys it. Though it teaches how to write the letters, there are also matching games and puzzles which stimulate the brain but also is a lot of fun and diverse. One thing I did was I ripped out the pages and took them to be laminated, making them dry erase! I punched holes in the edges and keep them in a 3-ring binder. Now, it's not just a one-time investment, my daughter can go over them again and again with dry erase markers. She loves them and asks to do them as an activity. I highly recommend this book. I think the quality of the instruction is great and varied and covers so many subjects. I have been looking for something like this for a long time and am so happy to have found it.

I like that it’s a three ring book, but I am very disappointed with the content of the book. It had such amazing reviews and I was expecting so much better. When I started my daughter on it I felt that the way the author uses long vowel sounds to teach the vowel sounds at the beginning and not short sounds was not a good way to introduce vowels. I have always understood that the vowels should be introduced using their short sounds only. Also on the page for letter “I” the child is supposed to circle all the pictures that have the “I” sound, Their was no variety in the pictures that have an “I” sound. It showed ice cream, ice cube, and icicle. So not only was it three long vowel sounds and no short vowel. But it was very unimaginative in the pictures options. This was not just on letter “I.” Also it has the child read a word at the bottom of each letter page. Since this is a preschool book, children do not know how to read yet, so my daughter does not know how to read the word. It feels like a waste of space on the page.

My daughter just turned four and will be starting her second year of preschool so I figured this would be good for her over the summer. Although my daughter is not "academically" where my other daughters were at her age, she is in preschool and at this point there really is no exception on what she "should know" at four. The book says Pre-K, and some of the book definitely is, but some sections seem to skip over basic things like individual letter and number identification, so evidently we are going to have to find something in addition to work on those areas. Otherwise, I like the fact you can skip around in the book, and it is definitely something we will be able to use for a long time. I also like the fact that it is very colorful and engaging.

I originally hand made an educational pre k book for my daughter to do some basic learning at home, then I was at a friend's house and saw this and immediately ordered it. It really trumps anything I could have ever made while being very well priced! My 3 year old daughter loves it too and she's already learning to write letters and her ABCs and all sorts of things. I only wish that they repeated pages throughout the book... for example.. there is only one page to learn to trace "A" and then that's it. Repetition is needed to learn to write letters and so a couple pages tracing the letter A would be beneficial.

So far, the activity sheets are age and developmentally appropriate. My child enjoys the activity sheets, making learning fun. Good quality. Easy to photocopy. However, the activities are repetitive enough that photocopying for reproduction isn't necessary for one child...but hoping to use for two kids.

Please, Please, Please, listen to me when I say I have bought MANY preschool books for my 4 year old to work in. This is so far the best one!!!!!!! The second best one I bought was Mead Preschool workbook. However, this book has LOTS of opportunities to practice writing and tracing letters and numbers and it integrates colors into the various lessons. It also reviews seasons, directions, etc...THIS CURICULUM HAS EVERY LESSON YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO BECOME PREPARED FOR AND MASTER PRESCHOOL! I buy many curriculum books so my daughter is always reviewing so I allowed her to write in this book, however if you want to give your child continued repetition and not have to buy anymore curriculum books I suggest making copies OR BUY TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO PURCHASE GET READAY OF KINDERGARTEN next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I truly believe it could be used alone for learning the basics in preparation for pre-school, but when paired with hands-on activities, learning themes, and other media it's a wonderful addition.I'm using it with my two year old. She's pretty far along on the learning curve, but still needs my assistance. She's enthusiastic about the activities in the book. I keep it out of reach only for when I'm working with her otherwise she'd be grabbing it.The illustrations and text are inviting and easy on the eye. The print is large. The context covers so much. I'm glad I came upon it. Would recommend to any parent who is working with their child on fundamentals to learn before entering pre-k or K.My only far-fetched wish is a laminated version - although I could tear pages out and laminate myself....

I LOVED this book and will be recommending it my contemporaries, many of whom, like me, have been faced with the caregiving role. Jennifer L. Fitzpatrick's book is more like a conversation with an expert, who, in caring and informative terms lays out a readable roadmap for the journey. She anticipates the questions we haven't even considered yet. The author draws on her own strong background in aging, and on other experts to provide practical advice. Reading this book will also make the caregiving situation less stressful for our children because of the planning we have put in place. Thank you, Jennifer L. Fitzpatrick!

Thank you, thank you Jennifer FitzPatrick. My entire family is in the midst of the most challenging space of life, caring for our mother whose Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases triple the difficulty. This book came along and it's practicality, heart and soul gave us so much needed direction. I love that you help us set parameters without feeling like we were abandoning our mom. It's such a wonderful gift that you've given us a tactical reference guide to navigate this time with grace.

I have been caring for my 86-year old mother since my father died 11 years ago. My how I wish I had had this book when I first started this journey as I would have saved myself a lot of anguish. My personal favorite chapter: Don't Be a Martyr (Because Martyrs Die). EXACTLY. Thank you Jennifer for reminding me of this (but in a non-judgmental, supportive voice). If you're new to caregiving or have been doing it a while (like I have), there is MUCH to be gained from reading this book. Good luck to all of us.

I just love this book! It's written for those of us who are in it for the long haul. We're not sure how to care for our elder, and still have a life of our own. The author uses boating terms, but no, she isn't trying to say caregiving is at all easy-it's just a framework for her thought process, like not "going overboard", or not "hitting a sandbar". She gently but firmly discourages perfectionism and guilt, while continuously pointing out helpful resources. Caregiving is new and unfamiliar territory for me, it's good to have a guide!

As someone who continues to help navigate the cycle of aging in-laws, i have found this book to be a useful resource for working through a variety of daily challenge.

Excellent book! A must have for every caregiver and those who will become caregivers.

We are enjoying using this as the basis for a caregivers Support Group!!

Has a lot of pics. So many that each time I go through it, there are more that I do not remember seeing before (even googling etc for them). The pictures are not captioned so I cannot look up a particular pic name on the web for more info etc. The color is a little lacking, but for the original price it was well worth it. The paper is not a thick gloss paper like in an art history/ other collegette book which is one reason the color is not as saturated or vibrant as the original works. The book and bounding is more like a really thick paperback novel. This makes one annoyance where some pictures are spread across two pages and because of the way the book is bound you cannot open the book flat. Of course some of my more favorite pictures are smaller than others. It is not one pic a page. some pages have 4 pictures or so. If there was a follow up book that had Sorayama's works since '03 I would pic it while still in production.

I must say that the book is well worth the buy for its content, however its small size and matt paper only make you wish they would make a highgloss Taschen Type edition to do it justice. The other reviews are pretty much on the money. You will appreciate it as a ctalogue of Sorayamas devine collected work but will hate it for the size and compromise of quality. I am delighted to own it, I am angry it is small and of low quality paper wise. Not a rip-off, not a bargain, just a disappointing tease solely by format.

Very informative book..well illustrated

This cheaply made book may be able to claim that it contains all of Sorayama's images, but the reproduction quality is poor, on cheap paper, and many of the best images are split down the middle by the spine/seam of the book, making them look even cheaper than this book already makes them appear. Not worth your money, unless all you want are tiny lousy quality images on tissue paper. Sorayama deserves better.

I think the work of Hajime Sorayama is unique in the world of erotic graphic artists so I was very pleased to get this book. There are several drawbacks though, the book is not the complete works, being a perfect-bound thick paperback it's not possible to open it fully (without breaking the binding) the paper is fairly course but it does support the 150 dpi the images are printed in, there are no page numbers and no dates on any of the artwork but despite all that it is still a fantastic book.To be able to see hundreds of examples of sexy robots, pin-ups and some really super examples of Sorayama's advertising work in this thick paperback will have to do until the definitive coffee-table book gets published. BTW if you are in a bookshop you can't miss it because it has an incredibly seductive, highly glossy cover mosaic showing details from thirty-one Sorayama paintings.

This really does show a lot of Sorayama's work. From the sexy robots to the life-like pin-ups to the surreal to the over-the-top fetishes. This book shows them all. Sorayama is a masterful artist and an extremely talented airbrush artist. The majority of his work is sexually graphic and some are simply disturbing, but if you want to see some incredibly realistic art, you can appreciate this book. In fact, this book even includes some sketches he's done of buildings, planes, etc. The man is truly an artist. Still, keep in mind that most of the works in this book are graphic in nature. The good news: this book has page after page after page of his art - measuring almost 1.5 inches thick. The bad news: The book is only 6 inches by 8.25 inches - very small for an art book. It also places a number of paintings on one page - making them too small to really admire his detail. Also, the book is perfect bound - which makes the paintings that cover a double-page spread difficult to see. I still think this is a great book to get a good sampling of Sorayama's work. There's a lot of his work to see in these pages. Some of it is erotic, some of it is playful, some of it is disturbing, and some of it is just amazing technically. Larger format and better layout design would be the two things that would improve this book.

This is a very nice book. Anyone who enjoys Soarayama's art will be happy with The Complete Works. It would be nice if the book and images were a little larger, but the amount and quality of Sorayam's work more than make up for the downfalls. I look forward to a larger publication similar to the amount of work displayed here. However, I'm sure that one will cost a considerable amount more!

all tough the size of the book is rather small there is a large and veried collection of works which is what i was looking for so no complants-good color and clear prints

This book reads like a Mark Twain story as Jackson "thows" his famous gooseball from childhood through imprisonment in WWII. I laughed out loud on more than one occasion, and teared up some, too. This is a page-turner you won't want to end.

I originally bought this book when it was first published (I've since bought & gifted numerous copies) because I knew Rick Norman's law partner. Usually a book of this size I'd start/finish between getting home after work (dinner, dishes, Mom/son time) and going to bed. Not this one. This took processing time, and re-reading time. Also takes a box of tissues - either you'll be laughing so hard or touched so deeply, and sometimes both on the same page. A lot of the reviews are high school students but don't think it's written at an 8th grade level. This book deserves recognition as one of the most outstanding books ever written.

I read Fielder's Choice for the first time not long after it was published. Since then, I've reread it a dozen times, I think.This novel is written in first person, in the voice of Gooseball Fielder, whose promising major league career with the St. Louis Browns stumbles to a halt almost as soon as it gets started. Weeks later, the news of Pearl Harbor fills the US airwaves, and Fielder signs up, finding the anonymity afforded by an army uniform a welcome relief.Fielder tells his story to a US Army major in early 1946 after having been accused of aiding and abetting the enemy while being held as a prisoner of war in Japan. From these snippets, you might expect a dark novel, even brooding. Fielder's Choice is anything but.The name of Fielder's hometown in Arkansas--Smackover--is a clue in itself that this is a novel that will make you laugh. Fielder's narrative voice is reminiscent of Henry Wiggen's in Mark Harris's first novel, The Southpaw; it seems obvious to me that Rick Norman is well acquainted with Harris's work. But Fielder is more naïve than Wiggen, less worldly, and the story he relates bears this out.The humor in Fielder's Choice is nicely balanced by the hardships Fielder endures, both at home and in the prison camp. But the darkness the novel touches on is never overwrought, partly due to Norman's wisdom in using Fielder's own voice to tell the story. Fielder finds redemption long before the ending of the novel, though the Merkle-esque welcome he receives a quarter century after his fall from grace is a welcome touch at the end.Norman's first novel, Fielder's Choice deserves a place as one of the great works of baseball fiction.

I really enjoyed reading this novel to my 10 year old son (he could have read it himself but I just like to read him stories) that follows a young man's path through baseball, war and well just life. At times it is very funny and others sad but always well written. When I finished the book I actually googled the character's name because the book made him seem so real.

I purchased Fielder's Choice for my son and to reach the minimum dollar amount on my [Amazon.com] order to get free shipping. Just by chance, I picked it up for a quick browse and to my surprise, didn't put the book down until I finished reading it. This is basiclly a story about about a boy coming of age,growing into manhood, told through the background of baseball and war. Fielder's Choice is a warm hearted story full of both laughs and tears. The main character, Gooseball Fielder is the persona of Forrest Gump in baseball flannels discovering that life throws the hardest curves .Rick Norman is a great story teller. He constructed the book in such a fashion, that after finishing it, I needed to check baseball references to see if the story of Gooseball Fielder was true.

Norman's first novel shows his deftness with balancing both the humorous and serious sides of life. It is difficult to call this book a comedy, yet equally difficult to call it a drama, a trait that makes this book truly special. My 11th grade students loved it, and so did their teacher, proving it to be an enjoyable read for young and old alike.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. Rick Norman's use of comedy and tradegy really set this book apart from others. I would reccomend this book to anyone. I even wrote about it in my column in the local newspaper. I just wish there was a sequel. I think that if you read any book at all, this one will surpass it by far.

"The Hospital" is the first thing I've read from Keith C. Blackmore but won't be the last. This is an interesting short story about a survivor in a post-apocalyptic city. He has come down from his fortress looking for supplies. While checking the hospital when he has a run-in with a deranged survivor hiding in the hospital and finds himself in a frightening predicament.The main character was likeable and interesting and the story made me want to learn more about him. The pacing is fast and what he finds is graphic and horrific. I found the story interesting enough to get the first book of the series this ties into ("Mountain Man"). I hope to enjoy the book as well as the short story.

This short story was originally published in Blackmore's book of short stories Cauldron Gristle. I am rereading the story and will be rereading Mountain Man and Safari (Mountain Man Book 2) so I can go on to books three and four in the Mountain Man series - Hellifax (Mountain Man Book 3) and Well Fed (Mountain Man Book 4).I liked the books the first time I read them and this short story answers a couple of questions that pop up in MOUNTAIN MAN so I would suggest reading this story before you start the rest of the series.If you have a weak stomach, you probably should find another genre of books to read. This little gem is full of blood and guts and profanity.

It's graphic but the writing is poor. I'm shocked this got published and even more surprised it was released for Kindle. Very short so it doesn't take long to get through but you'll regret it when you're done lol. The premise was very interesting so if a better writer ran with it, it could be good. Matt Shaw from the white and black cover books (Sick B*stards, Rotting Dead F*cks, SickER B*stards etc) could do something great. His black cover stories are so good (and gross).

With zombies it seems all stories are all the same zombies are all trying to eat the humans and there is not much else involved with the story. Well I have found an author that left the part out that irritates me and wrote a story worthy of Stephen King if the master of horror wrote about zombies.The Hospital was offered as free on Audible. I have quickly gotten into audio books. As it allows me to work and listen to books. When starting this book I did not know it was about zombies. I quickly figured out it was but I was so engrossed in the story that did not matter. The story is not just about zombies it has action with a thriller and horror that will bring readers (or listeners) to the edge of their seat.I do not know who the narrator was but I really enjoyed the roughness I felt in his voice. The thrill that he projected in my mind throughout the whole story I did not just hear or read the book I lived it.I highly recommend this book to any who enjoy a good horror.The bunnies and I give this book 4 carrots.

Keith Blackmore has certainly captured the end of the world apocalyptic feeling in The Hospital. I was shocked and Eager at the same time to learn of Alice and what she does, what happens to her. To create a character with such a twisted mind and write it so enticingly, makes me yearn to know a little more about her, how she ended up in her frame of mind. Although it is a hospital.... of Insane? Perhaps there should be another book in the sequel....In a day where I am hearing and seeing, reading more and more of the age of zombies, and a rebirth in death so to speak, this book captured my attention and wasn't released until i finished every single page. For my friends that are into this story line I will definitely recommend The Hospital.

You know how much I love audiobooks, right? They're an auditory delight, allowing me to multi-task as I enjoy, whatever it is that I wanna enjoy! This story allowed just that. This book was a fun story to listen to and visualize. It's a small piece of a book whole, I believe. I haven't purchased the other books yet, but you know, I think I will. The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story by Keith C. Blackmore is about lonely Gus, an apocalyptic survivor. He's lost tons of weight, has established survival rules gleaned from horror movies, which he follows to a "T" even under terrifying conditions. It's a short story but enough of a sample that I need to read the book in its entirety. I forced myself to listen to the whole thing just to see if it changed. Sigh...that was a waste of time. Overdone descriptions. I am also put off by the current obsession with zombies and find the unrealistic and short-sighted perspective of post apocalyptic literature uniformly lacking in true depth and breadth. If you are that depressed, get some help, and I don't mean meds.

About the Author

Dr. Terance Shipman is a 23 year veteran teacher. He spent much of his teaching career working with elementary aged students. In fact, he spent his first 11 years teaching kindergarten! He is proud to say that he built strong relationships over those years and has an incredible network of his students and their parents and co-workers that he has remained in contact with over these years. Dr. Shipman calls this ever developing network “Team Shipman”. Through Team Shipman, Dr. Shipman offers continual encouragement, leadership, and mentorship to his students, their families, and his professional peers. Dr. Shipman currently teaches middle school and extends membership to Team Shipman to his current students and their families, as well. Mr. Shipman’s Kindergarten Chronicles are the stories of teaching kindergarten that make Dr. Shipman smile the most when he thinks about his years teaching kindergarten. Each book in the series celebrates the male teacher, in particular the black male teacher. Acknowledging the under-representation of black men in education, Mr. Shipman presents a positive and strong black male image that children need. It was very fun to read

This book is a great book to read with the family. As one of Dr. Shipman's first students, reading the books brings back such happy memories from kindergarten. I cant wait to get a hard copy of the book :)

What a delightful story first time author Terance Shipman has written. Children will delight in hearing the joys of what happened during the December holidays. I imagined myself in each scene. It was exciting to read what fun Team Shipman had during the month of December. A great read anytime, but especially for the holidays in Mr. Shipman's class. Readers will certainly be anxious to find out what happens next as they read each page. The story was well written!

This a great book. This is very easy t understand and a great story to follow. I know that this will be an exciting story for any child to ready. Especially around the holidays. This book also showcases a lot of diversity, not only in the illustrations of the children, but in the content as well.

My 5 years old kindergartener was a bit confused who is in the current story, and what happened long ago. The text was a bit long for her too to keep her attention.I loved the teacher’s enthusiasm, his attention and dedications for every detail.Our advance read kindle edition (a goodreads giveaway win) had paragraphs out of order, a sentence unfinished and the pictures were almost never on the same page as their paragraphs. We used Kindle for iPhone.

Best version of the CPT book to have if you're a medical coder or if you have some position in HIM. This is the version that AAPC and AHIMA will most of the time endorse as a work book for coding outpatient procedures, and even for help with coding inpatient procedures. There are other versions out there, one of which I had for 2017, but I went back to this one. It's easier to navigate through, there are tabs in the book for you to add to help you find your sections easier if you want to use them, and there isn't any unnecessary bulk weighing the book down like other versions have. If you need your own CPT book, this is it.

I'm no newbie to the world of CPT manuals but this one is by far the WORST I've ever seen in 7 years of coding! Very poor quality! The tabs are USELESS!!!! Each one has adhered to the page and rips paper as you try to lift it from front page where they are located (and I am being super careful & gentle while trying to lift them--I NEED these things to work! See pictures below.) Multiple misspelled words through out the book. This book was not cheap but it sure looks it, I really expected better from the AMA.

I needed this book in a rush to take my test so I accepted the “used” 2018 edition.. thinking its the beginning of 2018.. How bad can it be?? Well it wasn’t too bad.. but I could have done without the bad printing.. mis numbered pages.. and nonexistent tabs.. but through all that I passed my exam so Im alright.. but I do know for my specialty exams...

The book is terrible. There are mispellings everywhere. Bleod instead of blood in the index and like others who complained, the tabs literally ripped out and had to be taped in the book. I would return it if I was able to, but now I have to try and find somewhere that sells it locally so I can flip rheough and make sure I don’t get one that is riddled with mistakes. Using it as is will probably be difficult to take my cert exam.

This is the second time I have written this review per Amazon's request. The reason I returned the CPT 2018 Professional edition was there were probably 20 pages missing. Mostly in the index. If you are a coder, whether certified or not, you know it is impossible to accurately code any medical procedure, E/M services etc without all of the applicable information. This book is one of the tools of my trade, and the tool had missing parts.

Material nicely presented. However, the newly opened book had to be dusted off as tiny paper bits fall all over the place. I still plan to buy the 2019 or 2020 version. Used to use the smaller cheaper James B. Davis PMIC books but now prefer the AMA version for both the CPT and ICD-10

i bought the book because the reviews said it was a great buy, even used. well it was not. my last pages are upside down so when i am looking for a code i have to flip the whole book around, it is missing page numbers. has a lot of misspelling, i now spell blood as "bleod" good luck on my exams am i right? also missing some procedures in the index so i have to flip through every single page on a section to find the code. overall would not buy form this seller again, i managed to pull of this semester but it was twice the work.

this book is always helpful to me for coding purposes and figuring out the next years charge master. However, the book always leaves debris all over the place from the pages. There are thousands of tiny white pieces of paper that fall all over the place for approximately 6 months.The content of the book is good though and always very informative.
